The story behind the licking branch buck design

There are some moments and images experienced outdoors that get burned in our memories. At N1 Outdoors^® our goal is to create products that bring to mind those moments. With the Licking Branch Buck tee, we wanted to create an iconic design that connected with those who love to hunt the whitetail deer.

Memorable deer hunting moments

Every hunter has his or her own opinion of what moments during a hunt are most memorable. That’s part of what makes hunting so special. But, as we began to work on this design, we tried to make a list of things that we considered fascinating during a whitetail hunt. Of course, during the weeks surrounding the rut, the deer activity level ramps up significantly. Bucks make scrapes, rub trees and chase does. It’s a magical time of year for the whitetail hunter. If you only had one chance to make it into the woods during a season the rut would be optimal. 

THE moment

Although there were many “moments” to choose from, we settled on the licking branch moment as the one to feature in this design. This design would become a flagship image of sorts for us as we added our trademarked tagline, “Where the moments happen… we’ll meet you there!™!”
