The most common invasive species we run into are Asian Carp. Specifically, you are looking at Silver and Bighead Carp. Not only are they extremely plentiful and overpopulated, but they are fairly popular targets for bowfishers because of their leaping ability (much more common for Silver Carp). This makes them quite the adventure to shoot. Not only do they threaten the populations of many native species, but they have harmed countless boaters by jumping into the air and striking individuals while moving quickly. Bighead Carp have been proven to be particularly destructive as an invasive species in the United States, and their importation has even been banned since 2010.
